Progress Report:

We are currently working on building a classroom block to replace the structure above. We have four volunteer (teachers) in Petauke, Zumaire village.

We just finished building the 2 classroom blocks, we are currently raising funds for the roof, ablution block, and borehole.

We believe that young people are our future. It is that belief that gives us urgency to act and help our communities. Some of the communities our organization has identified paint a very bleak picture of the future, indeed. Both youth and adults in these communities experience high rates of poverty, unemployment, crime and premature mortality. We believe that education and mentoring will bring transformation, for many Zambian communities.

We are currently working on starting a Community Center in one at-risk community.. Our Community Center will be equipped with a Library, Skills Center, Counseling Center, basketball and netball court. We will provide a counselling and support center for anyone in need of those services. We will also have support groups where people who are struggling with several issues can come and get support from others who are having the same struggles. We will have mentoring/coaching sessions for anyone in need. We will also have a Skills Center, where people can come and gain life skills to help them get on their feet. We will help disadvantaged women get skills. We know it takes a lot to build a healthy community , and we believe that when we all work together, we can achieve more than if we just work as single individuals.
