Empowered Africa is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Zambians. Your donation will help us provide for neglected children and orphans. And you will also help us pay for dozens who are currently waiting to get help paying for their education.

Student sponsorship is one of the best ways to foster rapid impact. We believe that education is the key to breaking out out poverty, prostitution and crime. We want to help people get sponsors regardless of their age and the level of education they seek. We believe it is never too late to get an education, and that “once you get it no one can ever take it away from you”, so we will include adults in our education programs. We also know and understand that when families are struggling, the first person that will be pulled out of school is the young girl, so we want to help fight that issue and support girls staying in school. We especially love helping young men go to college because we understand that once they loose their parents no one really looks out for them.

The young man, pictured below is one of our success stories, and soon to be Registered Nurse(RN) When we first found him he was working for less than five dollars a day. He used to make blocks for a Chinese company. He had no hope, and was bracing himself for a difficult future.
