About Us

We are a San Francisco based nonprofit organization. We are a multifaceted organization that focuses on empowering Zambians through education & the message of identity.

Our main objective is to empower individuals through education. We source scholarships and sponsorship for those in need, regardless of their level of education. We help Women gain tertiary skills so that they can get out of abusive situations, and be in a position where they can support themselves and their children.

Men, women, and the youth are assisted to acquire education from primary through university level. The acquisition of life skills is also a key focus area for Empowered Africa.

We believe that young people are our future. It is that belief that gives us urgency to act and help our communities. Some of the communities our organization has identified paint a very bleak picture of the future, indeed. Both youth and adults in these communities experience high rates of poverty, unemployment, crime and premature mortality. We believe that education and mentoring will bring transformation, for many Zambian communities.

Our foundation seeks to bring transformation to these “at risk” neighbourhoods that have been ravaged by alcohol and drug abuse, large high-school dropout rates and high youth mortality due to HIV/Aids.
